Today two sisters from Dover, Delaware will join Rachael Ray on her National TV talk show to help spread the word about their mission to donate books to West Africa. These two amazing girls are only 13 and 8 years old.
Zaria Hathorn and Hailey Willard have a nighttime Facebook live show where they read bedtime stories to kids across the world. The two incredible Dover girls have set a goal of raising $5,000 dollars and collecting 500 books for donation to rural areas of Africa. West Africa is lacking libraries, so the girls want to help as much as they can. This is only the beginning of their journey, being at such a young age.
The episode of Rachael Ray will air today at 2pm on ABC!
As quoted from their Facebook page where they share the stories to kids across the world,
“Our main purpose is to read a book of our choice each night at a designated time so that children can have a bedtime story each night. We are already reading each night but we thought it may be beneficial for children who don’t get this luxury. Parents sometimes work late or are too tired for stories. We are not only helping children, we are giving parents a nice break after a long day of work.”
