LSU may have won the BCS Championship last night, but a member of their family and a member of the ESPN family were sorely missed.  The members of the press made sure to save a seat for Carley McCord and Edward Aschoff.

Carley McCord, a sports reporter for NBC New Orleans affiliate WDSU and the daughter-in-law of LSU co-offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger Sr. was killed in a plane accident on December 28th and ESPN reporter Edward Aschoff passed away from pneumonia on Christmas Eve.

Two seats were reserved at the Superdome on Monday night in their honor.

ESPN released a touching video remembering Carley prior to the start of the game.
