A large volume of complaints have been received by the E-Z Pass customer service department, it was reported August 1, 2001, which stem from New Jersey motorists continuously being overcharged at toll booths. Delaware toll plazas and the Delaware Memorial Bridge will resume cash collections today (May 21) at noon. More than 70% of vehicles passing through Delaware’s toll plazas use E-Z pass. Steps have been taken to reduce the risk of exposure for toll-takers. The bridges ended cash tolls in late March and people without E-Z Pass transponders were mailed bills. Delaware toll plazas will also reopen for walk-in service.
