Delaware lawmakers are preparing to vote on a new law that will ban Delaware police from using choke holds and knee holds. The five-person House Administration Committee voted yesterday (June 22nd) to send the bill to the full House for a floor vote. If it passes, the bill will go through the same process in the senate before Governor Carney can sign it. The bill is part of an eight-item proposal from the Delaware’s Legislative Black Caucus members. They introduced the ‘Justice For All Agenda’ earlier this month to reform police departments and fight against systemic racism.
