Today marks the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock Music Festival, “3 days of peace and music” that was held on August 15th-August 18th 1969 on Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York.

As you may have heard on air with Michael Waite and Jessie in the morning, the festival was originally arranged to make money for the construction of a recording studio in Woodstock, NY. The organizers had no idea it would turn into the most monumental music festival in history.

Here’s some pictures actually taken during the 1969 festival, of festival goers on the road to Woodstock to help you reminisce on the day, if you were there.
